Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe

MEATBALLS1 pound lean ground beef *ERROR in video: it's 1 pound of meat, not 2*1 cup fresh bread crumbs1 tablespoon dried parsley1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper1/8 teaspoon garlic powder1 egg, beaten SUPER QUICK TOMATO SAUCE3 table spoons extra-virgin oil3 garlic cloves, minced1 (28-ounce) canned crushed tomatoes 1 (14.5-ounce) canned diced tomatoes3 tablespoons minced fresh basil1/4 teaspoon sugarSaltDIRECTIONS1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, Parmesan, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder and beaten egg. Mix well and form into 1 and a half inch balls. Preheat oven to 350° put wax paper or parchment paper onto cookie pan and space meatballsout. Cook 30 to 40 minutes until crispy brown. SUPER QUICK TOMATO SAUCE1. Cook the oil and garlic in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until fragrant but not browned, about 2 minutes. Stir in the crushed and diced tomatoes with their juice/ Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, 15 to 20 minutes.2. Stir in the basil and sugar. Season with salt to taste. When tossing the with pasta, add some of the pasta cooking water as needed to loosen the consistency of the sauce.3. Add cooked Meatballs and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Add fresh cooked spaghetti and serve.
